Ayurveda, the science of “a long and healthy life”

Ayurveda, the world’s oldest traditional medical science put down in written form, is also called the “mother of medicine”.

Ayurveda is rooted in the time honoured Vedic high culture of Ancient India. During colonial times this natural healing method sank into oblivion but has enjoyed a renaissance over the past decades. Today not only India but also nearby Sri Lanka are considered to be the spiritual and intellectual centres of original and authentic Ayurveda. Ayurveda is about the interplay of body, spirit and soul in harmony with nature and the spiritual dimension.

“Ayurveda is the art of living your daily life in harmony with the laws of nature. The intention of this ancient science is to keep health and to cure diseases.”

(Vasant Lad)

Self- awareness is the highest goal of Ayurveda.
