Sri Lanka ’s coast- an idea of paradise

Although the Tsunami (end of 2004) affected parts of Sri Lanka´s dream coast, the coastal towns are still worth visiting. The people of Sri Lanka are rebuilding the country and have great hope for the future.  Tourism is now more important than ever for the country.

Galle, a historical gem by the sea

It is best to discover Galle by walking along the walls of the old Galle fort, which surround the old town. Its centre is like an open air museum. Colonial buildings by the Dutch and Portuguese create the very special atmosphere in Galle- a must for every tourist.
