Vata (air) - movement and communication

Vata is in charge of all movements in the body and the alertness of the mind. It is responsible for the breathing, food intake, waste discharge and communication.

The attributes of Vata are: mobile, cold, dry, rough, light, clear and mobile.

Adversarial for Vata are irregular and cold meals, extensive travelling, noise, cold, shock. In autumn and winter as well as in the early morning and old age Vata gets of balance. This can be well observed in the following symptoms: dry skin and mucous membranes, flatulence and constipation, restlessness, fearfulness, sleep disorder, shooting pains, cramps and muscle tension.

In order to rebalance Vata one needs a regular rhythm of life, warmth, stability, trust and persistence.
